Paul Revere's burial location myth

A common misconception is that Paul Revere is buried at the Old North Church; he is actually buried in the Granary Burying Ground in downtown Boston. The Granary Burying Ground on Tremont Street contains the graves of Paul Revere, Samuel Adams, and John Hancock and is a marked historic site. The misassociation with the Old North Church persists in popular imagination despite burial records and cemetery markers identifying Revere's actual gravesite.
