Chicano Park murals

Chicano Park, located beneath the San Diego–Coronado Bridge, hosts dozens of large-scale murals created by Chicano and other artists since local residents occupied the site in 1970 to prevent development. The murals collectively depict Chicano history, culture, and political themes and the site is widely recognized for its extensive outdoor mural collection. The park was created through community activism and remains an important cultural and political landmark in Barrio Logan.
