Villa Madre Cabrini

Villa Madre Cabrini, located in the Castelletto quarter of Genoa, offers stunning panoramic views of the Old City and the Gulf of Genoa. Originally built in the early 17th century, it became a significant suburban villa in the 18th century, contributing to the urbanization of the area. The villa was owned by the noble Acquarone family, with notable historical figures such as Pietro d'Acquarone, who played a key role in Italian politics during World War II. In 1917, it was transformed into an educational center by the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, named in honor of Saint Frances Xavier Cabrini. Today, while the main building has been converted into residential apartments, the annex continues to serve as a public school, preserving the villa's legacy as a cultural and educational hub.
