Sea caves visible from the Cliff House

The Cliff House overlooks a stretch of coastline where sea caves and rocky grottoes have formed in the cliffs below due to Pacific Ocean erosion. Portions of these sea cave openings and rocky intertidal features are visible from the Cliff House terrace and the adjacent Lands End trails, especially at low tide. The cliffs and caves are within the Golden Gate National Recreation Area and are frequently photographed from the Cliff House vantage point.
