Larimer Square

Larimer Square is Denver's oldest commercial block, originating from the city's mid-19th-century founding, and features preserved Victorian-era commercial buildings. In the 1960s the block underwent a significant restoration led by private investors and city supporters that preserved the historic buildings and established Larimer Square as a center for shops and restaurants. That preservation effort is often cited as a pivotal moment in Denver's historic preservation movement.
