Corpus Christi Cathedral (Corpus Christi, Texas)

Corpus Christi Cathedral, located in Corpus Christi, Texas, serves as the seat of the Catholic Diocese of Corpus Christi. Originally established as St. Patrick's Church in the mid-19th century, it evolved into a cathedral in 1912. The current structure, designed in the Spanish Colonial Revival style, was dedicated in 1940 and named Corpus Christi at the request of Pope Pius XII. The cathedral features impressive dimensions, including a south tower that rises 125 feet. Over the years, it has undergone several renovations and has played a significant role in the community, including providing refuge during hurricanes and hosting a concert series.
