Cinema Marraccini

Cinema Marraccini is a historic former movie theater located in the heart of Grosseto, Tuscany. Originally opened in 1926 as Cinema Savoia, it replaced the city's first cinema, the Splendor. Designed by architect Renato Della Rocca, the building features unique architectural elements such as reinforced concrete and a skylight for ventilation. After serving as a cultural hub for nearly eight decades, it closed its doors in 2003 and has remained abandoned since. In 2022, the Municipality of Grosseto acquired the site, marking a new chapter for this iconic structure that reflects the rich cinematic history of the region.
