Gabriel Richard Building

The Gabriel Richard Building, located at 305 Michigan Avenue in Downtown Detroit, is a historic high-rise that showcases Chicago Style architecture with Classical Revival elements. Completed in 1915, it originally housed the Weil and Company furniture store and later served various functions for the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Detroit. The building features a striking white terra cotta facade and intricate decorative details. After being listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2017, it was transformed into residential apartments known as the Gabriel Houze, offering a unique blend of historical significance and modern living in the heart of Detroit.
