Pegasus sign atop the Magnolia Building

The illuminated red Pegasus sits on the roof of the Magnolia Building (now the Magnolia Hotel) in downtown Dallas and is a long-standing city symbol. The original Pegasus was installed by the Magnolia Petroleum Company in 1934. After being removed and restored, a Pegasus was returned to the building in 1999 and remains visible from downtown streets.
