Atherton Hotel at Oklahoma State University

The Atherton Hotel, located at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma, is a historic hotel originally built in 1950 as the Union Club. Known as the 'Waldorf of the West,' it was the first purpose-built hotel in a university Student Union and features Georgian architecture. The hotel has undergone significant renovations, including a major restoration from 2001 to 2004, and was reopened in honor of OSU graduate Bill Atherton. It offers 69 boutique-style guest rooms and is home to the Ranchers Club restaurant. The hotel has hosted numerous notable guests, including U.S. Presidents and celebrities, and was listed on the National Registry of Historic Hotels of America in 2005.
