Palace of Fine Arts

The Palace of Fine Arts was originally constructed for the 1915 Panama-Pacific International Exposition and is a landmark in the Marina District. Its classical rotunda and colonnades surround a central lagoon that has been a popular public gathering place. The structure was substantially rebuilt in the 1960s and later renovated again in the 2000s to preserve its historic appearance.
