Lyceum, Port Sunlight

The Lyceum is a historic building located on Bridge Street in Port Sunlight, Merseyside, England. Constructed between 1894 and 1896 for William Lever, it was originally designed as a school and has since served various purposes, including a social club. This Grade II listed building features distinctive architecture with red Ruabon brick, blue brick diapering, and elegant stone dressings. The structure showcases a unique design with multiple bays, a turret, and decorative gables, making it an interesting site for tourists and researchers alike. Plans are underway to develop part of the Lyceum into a Victorian classroom as part of the Port Sunlight Museum, enhancing its historical significance.
