Harris Hall

Harris Hall, located at 617 East Huron Street in Ann Arbor, Michigan, is a historic auditorium listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1982. Originally constructed in 1887 as a venue for discussions on religion and science, it was founded by Reverend Samuel Smith Harris, the second Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Michigan. The hall has hosted lectures, concerts, and community events, and features a unique architectural design with red brick and yellow-gray stone trim. Over the years, it has served various purposes, including a USO during World War II and later as headquarters for university music departments. Today, it stands as a testament to the rich cultural and historical heritage of Ann Arbor.
