Fox Theatre (historic movie palace)

The Fox Theatre in Detroit opened in 1928 as part of the Fox chain and was designed by theater architect C. Howard Crane. It is one of the nation's largest surviving movie palaces, with ornate interior decoration and a seating capacity of over 5,000. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and remains an active performance venue and Detroit landmark.
