Skindergade 22

Skindergade 22 is a historic Neoclassical building located at the intersection of Skindergade and Lille Kannikestræde in Copenhagen's Old Town. Listed as a protected building since 1979, it has a rich history dating back to the late 17th century. Originally part of the Klædebo Quarter, the site has undergone several transformations, including reconstruction after the devastating Copenhagen Fire of 1795 and the British bombardment in 1807. The building features a distinctive architectural style with four storeys and a unique chamfered corner, reflecting the guidelines of prominent architects of its time. Notably, it was home to Jens Andersen Hansen, a significant figure in Danish journalism and politics, in the mid-19th century.
