Seaholm Power Plant (Midcentury industrial Art Deco)

The Seaholm Power Plant was built in the early 1950s as Austin’s municipal electrical generating station and features midcentury industrial and Art Deco-influenced architectural elements on its exterior. The plant was decommissioned as a power-generating facility and later redeveloped into a mixed-use project that preserved the historic plant structure and façade. The redevelopment kept prominent industrial features such as the turbine hall and large arched windows while adapting the interior for commercial and public use.
