Eisenhower Executive Office Building (State, War, and Navy Building)

Constructed 1871–1888 and designed by architect Alfred B. Mullett, the building is a major example of the French Second Empire style in Washington, D.C. It originally housed the State, War, and Navy departments and today contains offices for the Executive Office of the President. The structure is noted for its mansard roofs, elaborate stone carving, and large granite façades. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
