Moundland

Moundland was a historic plantation home in Columbia, Maryland, built in 1846 by Charles R. Stewart for his daughter and her husband. The stone manor featured impressive 22-inch thick walls and original English locks from 1830. It was part of a larger 245-acre estate that was transformed into the planned community of Columbia in the 1960s. Despite its historical significance, Moundland was demolished in 1991 to make way for a new church facility, marking the end of an era for this once-grand home.
