De Witt Cottage

De Witt Cottage, also known as Holland Cottage, is a historic oceanfront home in Virginia Beach, built in 1895. This two-story, L-shaped brick cottage features Queen Anne style detailing and a spacious porch. The cottage was home to the de Witt family from 1909 until 1988 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Since 1995, it has housed the Atlantic Wildfowl Heritage Museum, showcasing bird decoys, art, vintage shotguns, and the history of Virginia Beach, making it a fascinating destination for tourists and researchers alike.
