Tudor City

Tudor City is a planned residential complex on Manhattan's East Side developed in the late 1920s by developer Fred F. French, characterized by Tudor Revival–style towers, landscaped courtyards, and pedestrian amenities. It is often cited as one of the earliest large‑scale residential skyscraper developments, establishing a model for high‑density urban residential planning with integrated open space. The ensemble's architectural and historical significance led to its designation as a New York City historic district.
