Frank Erwin Center (former arena)

The Frank Erwin Center, commonly called 'The Erwin Center' or 'The Drum,' was the University of Texas at Austin's indoor arena for concerts and basketball from its opening in 1977 until it was retired from major events after the Moody Center opened. Located on the UT campus, it hosted collegiate sports, touring music acts, and commencements during its decades of operation. The facility has since been decommissioned and its site is part of the university's campus redevelopment plans.
