Roxie Theater

The Roxie Theater at 3117 16th Street is one of San Francisco's oldest continuously operating movie theaters, established in the early 20th century as a neighborhood cinema. Over its history it has operated as a commercial movie house and later as a nonprofit repertory and independent-film venue, preserving historic theater use and programming in the Mission District. The Roxie is often cited in histories of local cinema culture and neighborhood architectural continuity.
