Little Caesars Arena opens and hosts major Detroit teams

Little Caesars Arena opened in 2017 and became the home of the NHL's Detroit Red Wings and, beginning with the 2017–18 season, the NBA's Detroit Pistons. The arena is part of the downtown District Detroit development and replaced Joe Louis Arena as the Red Wings' home. Little Caesars Arena also hosts concerts and other large-scale sporting and entertainment events.
