New Romney Town Hall

New Romney Town Hall, located in the High Street of New Romney, Kent, is a Grade II listed municipal building completed in 1702, originally designed as a market hall in the Italianate style. It features a symmetrical façade with five bays and was historically significant as the venue for the inquest into the last woman publicly hanged in the UK. The building has undergone various modifications, including a new stucco façade and adaptations for use as a council chamber. Today, it serves as the meeting place for New Romney Town Council and houses a local history museum, showcasing items like the flag of the Lord Warden of the Cinque Ports and important historical documents.
