Wilhelm Pelster House-Barn

The Wilhelm Pelster House-Barn, located near New Haven, Missouri, is a remarkable historic site built between 1860 and 1864 by German immigrant Wilhelm Pelster. This unique structure combines a house and barn, showcasing traditional Fachwerk construction with its banked half-timbered and masonry design. Spanning approximately 60 feet wide and 53 feet deep, it features four interior levels, making it an interesting visit for tourists and researchers alike. The site was recognized for its historical significance and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.
