Alum Rock Park – historic municipal park popular with locals

Alum Rock Park in East San Jose was established in 1872 and is one of California's oldest municipal parks. The park follows Penitencia Creek and contains several miles of hiking, biking, and equestrian trails that are regularly used by local residents. It also includes picnic areas and historic mineral springs that were early attractions for visitors to the park.
