Maindiff Court Hospital

Maindiff Court Hospital, located near Abergavenny in Monmouthshire, Wales, is a community hospital with a rich history. Originally a mansion built in 1875, it transformed into a hospital in 1924 and served as a military hospital during World War II. Notably, it housed Rudolf Hess, Adolf Hitler's deputy, from 1942, who was known locally as the 'Kaiser of Abergavenny.' Today, the hospital features four wards, a day hospital, and an ECT department, all set within beautifully maintained grounds, providing various mental health services to the community.
