Tower of the Americas (HemisFair '68)

The Tower of the Americas was constructed as the theme structure for HemisFair '68, the 1968 World's Fair held in San Antonio, and was completed in 1968. The tower rises 750 feet above HemisFair Park and includes an observation deck and a revolving restaurant that provide panoramic views of the city. It remains a prominent example of mid-20th-century modernist fair architecture and is a city landmark associated with the HemisFair redevelopment of downtown. The tower is located within the HemisFair Park complex south of downtown.
