The Old Globe Theatre (originally constructed for 1935 exposition)

The Old Globe Theatre was originally built in Balboa Park for the 1935 California Pacific International Exposition as a replica of Shakespeare's Globe. It evolved into a major regional theater, with the complex rebuilt and expanded after a 1978 fire. The Old Globe remains a longstanding institution for performing arts in San Diego.
