Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History

Founded in 1965 by Dr. Charles H. Wright, the museum is dedicated to African American history and culture and regularly presents visual art exhibitions. The museum's campus at 315 East Warren Avenue hosts rotating and permanent exhibitions, educational programs, and public lectures. It organizes special exhibitions and events that have featured artists from Detroit and elsewhere.
