Municipal Buildings, Dorchester

The Municipal Buildings, also known as the Corn Exchange and Town Hall, are a historic Grade II* listed structure located in Dorchester, Dorset, England. Originally completed in 1791, the current Gothic Revival building was designed by Benjamin Ferrey and completed in 1848. It features a striking symmetrical facade, a clock turret, and has served various community functions, including as a meeting place for the Dorchester Town Council and an arts venue. Notably, it hosted events attended by famous figures like novelist Thomas Hardy. After recent renovations, it continues to be a vibrant hub for local arts and community activities.
