Elisabeth-Anna-Palais

The Elisabeth-Anna-Palais is a striking red-brick building located in Oldenburg, Germany, near the Schlossgarten and Schloss Oldenburg. Built between 1894 and 1896 for Grand Duke Frederick Augustus, it features Baroque architectural elements, including an onion-dome-topped tower. Named in memory of the Grand Duke's late wife, Princess Elisabeth Anna of Prussia, the Palais served as a royal residence until the abdication of the Grand Duke in 1918. Today, it functions as the Sozialgericht Oldenburg, offering visitors a glimpse into the region's royal history and architectural heritage.
