Monte Cristo Homestead

Monte Cristo Homestead, located in Junee, New South Wales, is a historic late-Victorian manor built in 1885 by pioneer Christopher William Crawley. Known as 'Australia's most haunted house,' it has a rich history, having been home to the Crawley family until 1948 and later restored by Reg and Olive Ryan in 1963. The homestead has been featured in various television shows and a mockumentary horror film, attracting tourists with its eerie reputation. However, after the passing of Olive Ryan, it ceased public operations in January 2025, making it a unique yet inaccessible site for future visitors.
