Peralta Adobe & Fallon House Historic Site

The Peralta Adobe, built in 1797, is the oldest building still standing in San Jose and represents the city's Spanish and Mexican period. Adjacent Fallon House, an 1855 Italianate Victorian residence, illustrates mid-19th century urban life; both buildings operate together as a historic site and museum. The site interprets early San Jose civic history and the transitions from Spanish-era ranchos to American municipal development.
