Clyfford Still Museum's purpose-built gallery

The Clyfford Still Museum, designed by Allied Works Architecture and opened in 2011, was specifically commissioned to house and display the artist Clyfford Still's body of work donated to the museum. The building features thick, textured concrete walls and carefully controlled natural light to accommodate large-scale abstract paintings and to create a contemplative viewing environment. The museum's design and collection make it a distinctive, single-artist institution in Denver's Golden Triangle Museum District.
