Clergy's Houses, Timișoara

The Clergy's Houses, a notable collection of four historic buildings in Timișoara, Romania, are situated on the northern side of Union Square. Documented since 1758, these structures were originally built to house the canons of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Cenad. They showcase a blend of architectural styles, transitioning from a unified Austrian Baroque facade to individual classicist restorations following damage in 1849. Each house has its own unique history, with commercial spaces that once included taverns and workshops. The buildings were restored in 1980, preserving their cultural significance and making them an interesting site for tourists and researchers alike.
