Fisher Building (New Center Art Deco skyscraper)

The Fisher Building opened in 1928 as part of Detroit's New Center commercial district and was commissioned by the Fisher brothers of Fisher Body. Designed by Albert Kahn & Associates, it is noted for its lavish Art Deco exterior and a banking and retail concourse with high-quality materials and ornamentation. The building is a designated National Historic Landmark and remains an active office and event space in Detroit.
