Mission San José (remnants of the mission complex)

Mission San José y San Miguel de Aguayo retains substantial masonry from its 18th-century Spanish mission complex, including the restored church, portions of the convento, and sections of the mission walls and granary foundations. It is commonly called the "Queen of the Missions" for its size and sculptural ornamentation. The site is administered as part of San Antonio Missions National Historical Park and is included in the San Antonio Missions UNESCO World Heritage listing.
