ENERPOS

ENERPOS is the first educational net-zero energy building in the tropics, located in Saint-Pierre on Réunion Island, France. Designed with bioclimatic principles, it successfully minimizes energy consumption while providing a comfortable environment. The building utilizes natural ventilation and passive cooling methods, significantly reducing energy use to one-seventh of a standard building. With photovoltaic panels generating more energy than consumed, ENERPOS contributes surplus electricity to the local grid. This innovative structure not only serves as a model for sustainable architecture in tropical climates but also hosts courses for students in construction and energy, making it a key educational hub on the island.
