Robert Masterson House

The Robert Masterson House, built before 1826 in Marion County, Missouri, is a historic Georgian cottage that showcases early American architecture. Constructed from native limestone, it features a unique two-room deep layout with a central hallway and retains much of its original interior woodwork. This house, significant for its historical value, is the oldest surviving dwelling in Marion County and possibly in Northeast Missouri. It was home to Robert Masterson, a War of 1812 veteran who contributed to the area's early settlement. Restored in the 1990s, the house is privately owned and offers a glimpse into the region's rich history.
