Emerson Electric Company Building

The Emerson Electric Company Building, now known as Lofts at 2020, is a historic eight-story structure located at 2012-18 Washington Avenue in St. Louis, Missouri. Designed by architect Albert B. Groves and completed in 1920, it originally served as a factory for Emerson Electric, specializing in small motors and fans. During World War II, the building played a crucial role in manufacturing components for military aircraft, including the B-17 and B-24 bombers. After the war, it became the headquarters for The Sporting News, and its iconic sign remains a notable feature of the building today.
