Oktogon (Zagreb)

Oktogon is a historic urban passageway in central Zagreb, Croatia, linking Petar Preradović Square with Ilica street through the former First Croatian Savings Bank. Designed by architect Josip Vancaš and constructed between 1898 and 1900, it features two passageways surrounding a central octagonal atrium. Notably, it once housed a unique monument to a stray dog named Pluto, who befriended the construction workers. Although the monument has since been relocated, Oktogon remains a charming architectural highlight for tourists and researchers alike.
