Edificio Comunidad de Orgullo Gay de Puerto Rico

The Gay Pride Community Building, or Casa Orgullo, is a historic site in Río Piedras, San Juan, Puerto Rico, recognized for its role in the LGBTQ rights movement. Established in 1974, it served as a meeting hall for the first gay/lesbian organization in Puerto Rico, inspired by the Stonewall Revolt. Although the organization disbanded in 1976, the building remains a symbol of resistance against discrimination and was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 2016. While not open to the public, visitors can view the vibrant mural Flor de Parcha from the street, celebrating the site's cultural significance.
