UTSA Center for Archaeological Research

The Center for Archaeological Research at the University of Texas at San Antonio conducts archaeological fieldwork, laboratory analysis, and cultural-resource management across the San Antonio region and South Texas. CAR maintains collections, publishes reports on excavations, and supports graduate and public research on prehistoric and historic sites. The center has carried out investigations at mission sites, rural settlements, and urban development projects in Bexar County.
