Star of India at the Maritime Museum of San Diego

The Star of India, built in 1863 as the Euterpe, is an iron-hulled sailing ship berthed at the Maritime Museum of San Diego and is often cited as the world's oldest active merchant sailing ship. The Maritime Museum complex at this location preserves several historic vessels and maritime artifacts and is open to the public. The Star of India has undergone extensive restoration and participates in museum sailing demonstrations and events.
