Deitz Farm

Deitz Farm, also known as General Robert E. Lee Headquarters, is a historic site located near Meadow Bluff in Greenbrier County, West Virginia. Built around 1840, this two-story red brick residence showcases Greek Revival architecture and features a charming wooden porch. The site played a significant role during the American Civil War, serving as headquarters for General Robert E. Lee and his Confederate forces in 1861. Visitors can explore the earthworks constructed by Confederate troops, as well as the outbuildings and the burial site of soldiers who died on the property. Deitz Farm was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1992, making it an important destination for history enthusiasts and tourists alike.
