Blair House (The President's Guest House)

Blair House, at 1651 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, is the President's Guest House and a complex of connected historic townhouses used to accommodate visiting foreign dignitaries and official guests. The property has served in that role since the mid-20th century and is situated directly across from the White House. President Harry S. Truman and his family used Blair House as their temporary residence during White House renovations in 1948–1949.
