Henry J. Barnes House

The Henry J. Barnes House, located in Mt. Washington, Kentucky, is a historic structure built in 1885 and recognized on the National Register of Historic Places since 1993. This two-story building features a distinctive weatherboarded Cumberland form and a charming two-tiered front porch. Once thriving as the Busy Lady Quilt Shop, the house faced a decline after the business closure and subsequent abandonment. Despite efforts to preserve the property, including plans by CVS to develop the site, the house was ultimately demolished in February 2024, marking the end of its historical legacy.
