Old Saint Mary's Cathedral

Old Saint Mary's Cathedral, completed in 1854, was the first cathedral built in San Francisco and served the city's Catholic population during the Gold Rush era. The Romanesque-style church occupies a site at the edge of Chinatown and has been a continuous place of worship since the mid-19th century.
