Arneson River Theater (La Villita)

The Arneson River Theater is an open-air amphitheater constructed in 1939 as part of San Antonio River improvements and the development of the River Walk. The stone terraces, stage, and seating reflect Works Progress Administration-era construction and the riverside design vision implemented by Robert H. H. Hugman. The theater has hosted community performances and civic events since its completion and is integrated into the historic La Villita arts village.
